This is what you are looking for

Like most of you who landed in this page, I was looking for the webpage of the Saint Gabriel Parish. Was running late one night and wanted to confirm the last Mass schedule because a delayed mass the previous week got me a bit confused. Googled for the schedule and telephone numbers but found none. Missed mass that time.

Will try to post information here related to our parish. Maybe other parishioners can do the same. Am actually crossing my fingers that the students and graduates of Saint Gabriel Academy can help collect information about Saint Gabriel, our church and the community.

We can all use this as a temporary page for important announcements as we help plan and create a complete website.

Thank you so much. God Bless!

Cremation

I just had the amputated leg of lola Ruperta C. Bernardo blessed by Fr. Benedict at Saint Gabriel.

Carrying the leg in a small wooden box was a little creepy. But its lola's.

After going through the interment requirements with an Eternal Garden staff, we decided to have the leg cremated.

Learned a lot. Now I know that a leg will require the same procedure and documents as burying a whole body. And we cannot open the niche inside the mausoleum by ourselves. We need to ask assistance from Eternal Gardens. Thank you Wenny and Oret for the help.

The staff of Eternal Gardens asked me to bring:
  1. cemetery lot title
  2. certificate of ownership
  3. agreement with Eternal Gardens
  4. ID of the owners of the cemetery lot
  5. special power of attorney authorizing me to transact with Eternal Gardens
  6. authorization letter from lola to bury her leg, and her ID
After completing the requirements, we needed to go to the Health Department at City Hall to get an interment permit. When that was issued, we can then have the interment scheduled at Eternal Gardens in one or two days.

Interment fees are P16,000 on weekdays and P18,000 on weekends. Expensive! But I am sure lola is just as happy to have her leg cremated. Then there is the cremation fee of P3,500, and the urn at P1,050.

We needed the report from the hospital to get the permit necessary for the crematorium to process our request.

Thank God it's done.
